Binance Ends UAH Support: What Will Happen to UAH Balances in Ukraine

Binance has announced the discontinuation of Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH) operations through Fiat Trade UAH and the removal of the USDT/UAH trading pair. The changes will take effect on September 28, 2026.

For Ukrainian users, this means that deposits and withdrawals of UAH through the affected Binance service will no longer be available.

The AsicFIX team explains what is changing, what deadlines users should be aware of, and what will happen to any remaining UAH balance on Binance.

When Will Binance Stop Supporting the Ukrainian Hryvnia?

According to Binance's official announcement, starting September 28, 2026, at 10:00 Kyiv time, the exchange will stop supporting UAH deposits and withdrawals through Fiat Trade UAH.

At the same time, the USDT/UAH spot trading pair will be removed. Any open orders for this trading pair will be automatically canceled after trading is discontinued.

Ukrainian users should therefore check:

What Will Happen to UAH Remaining on Binance?

Binance has announced that eligible remaining UAH balances will be automatically converted into USDT.

The conversion is expected to be completed by September 30, 2026, at 19:00 Kyiv time.

The fixed conversion rate specified by Binance is:

1 USDT = 46.5 UAH

For example:

It is important to understand that Binance will not convert the remaining hryvnia directly into US dollars. The conversion will be UAH → USDT.

Users who accept the automatic conversion do not need to take any additional action.

What Should Binance Users in Ukraine Do?

If you regularly use Binance to purchase cryptocurrency with Ukrainian hryvnia, it is worth checking your account before the deadline.

Before September 28, users should:

  1. Check whether they have a UAH balance on Binance.

  2. Review any open USDT/UAH orders.

  3. Decide whether they want to withdraw their hryvnia before the deadline.

  4. If they leave UAH on the account, take into account the planned automatic conversion into USDT.

  5. Check which other UAH-related services may remain available after September 28.

An important point is that the discontinuation of Fiat Trade UAH and removal of the USDT/UAH spot pair should not automatically be interpreted as Binance completely ending its services for Ukrainian users. The announcement concerns the specific UAH-related operations listed by the exchange.

Will the Ukrainian Hryvnia Disappear Completely From Binance?

At this stage, Binance has officially announced the termination of UAH deposits and withdrawals through Fiat Trade UAH and the delisting of the USDT/UAH Spot trading pair.

Therefore, users should not automatically assume that every possible method of using UAH on Binance will disappear.

It is also important to distinguish these changes from P2P trading, which operates through a different mechanism for buying and selling cryptocurrency. The closure of Fiat Trade UAH does not by itself mean that all UAH-related P2P transactions will necessarily stop.

Why Is Binance Changing Its UAH Services?

Binance did not provide a separate explanation for the discontinuation of Fiat Trade UAH in the announcement.

Therefore, it would be inappropriate to speculate about the company's specific reasons without additional official information.

For users, the most important information is the announced schedule and the procedure for handling remaining UAH balances.

Binance and User Funds

Binance has been subject to increased regulatory attention in different jurisdictions in recent years. For cryptocurrency users, this makes it important to follow official exchange announcements and monitor changes to available payment methods and services.

At the same time, the changes affecting UAH should not automatically be attributed to other regulatory events or investigations unless Binance itself officially connects them.

What Does This Mean for Ukrainian Cryptocurrency Users?

For most users, the key issue is not only the removal of the USDT/UAH trading pair but also the deadlines for UAH operations.

Key dates:

Date What happens
September 28, 2026, 10:00 UAH deposits and withdrawals through Fiat Trade UAH are discontinued
September 28, 2026, 10:00 The USDT/UAH spot trading pair is removed
September 28 Open USDT/UAH orders are automatically canceled
September 30, 2026, 19:00 Automatic conversion of eligible UAH balances is completed
Conversion rate 1 USDT = 46.5 UAH

Conclusion

Binance is changing the way Ukrainian hryvnia is supported on its platform. Starting September 28, UAH operations through Fiat Trade UAH will be discontinued, and the USDT/UAH spot trading pair will be removed.

If a UAH balance remains on the account, Binance plans to automatically convert the eligible balance into USDT at a fixed rate of 46.5 UAH per 1 USDT by September 30.

Binance users in Ukraine should check their balances and open orders before the September 28 deadline.

AsicFIX will continue monitoring developments in cryptocurrency, Bitcoin mining, and major cryptocurrency exchanges and will provide important updates for Ukrainian users.
